I need to rant a bit today because I feel like it's only been a month since Aly has been in preschool and already she has lost something. First it was her tooth brush on the first week. I get it...kids lose small things. Then it was her snack. Okay, I get that too. But now a full size blanket.
Al and I do our best to label every single item she owns but seriously...who on earth would take a little girl's blanket?! Last Friday, I picked Aly up from school and as usual, I brought home her bedding for washing. When I emptied the pillow case, I was shocked to find out her new pink and brown Hello Kitty blanket was missing - instead a ratty ol' blanket was in its place. WTF...I was thinking to myself. Apparently, her blanket was missing for a few days and no one knows where it is. I asked Aly and she just said that one day when it was nap time, it was gone.
So my advice to all you parents out there who have kids in school - LABEL everything. Make it big and make it blue.
