Trip to Gilroy Gardens

Here's a pic of Aly and I at Gilroy Gardens. The carousel was one of the first rides she went on that day. It was the first time I have been to the park...definitely for kiddies and hot! It was high 90s that day. We just kept drinking water.

Aly's first day at Preschool

My little girl is growing up....As I pulled up to Little Star Preschool on Quintara, I came to the realization that Aly is waay too young to be going. Being 2.7 yrs old she will be the youngest one in her class. Why did I sign her up so early?! Will she wet her pants? Will she freak out when I leave? I hope no one picks on her. All of these thoughts popped into my head. I hated the thought of leaving her with strangers - not for a few hours but the entire day. Was I being a bad mom?!
We went into the classroom, hung up her jacket, put her lunch bag in her cubby and she went straight to a table filled w/ markers and paper. As she waved me off and kissed me good bye, it dawned on me that it was I who was not ready for her to go to preschool - not the other way around.

Busy Labor Day weekend

This weekend we had a slur of activities...relatives visiting from Canada and Texas - even a wedding. Needless to say, we were on the go for the most part. We did stop to take a pic of Drew though in his newsboy cap.
