Just hanging out

Solids @ 6months

We gave Drew his first taste of rice cereal last friday, 8/14. Once this week is over, we are going to move on to avocados.

Going back to work...

I went back to work this week and it wasn't that bad. For some reason, I expected it to be difficult, but I was actually quite excited. I woke up earlier than usual and got ready before the kids woke up. Drew is an early riser and so I fed him and put him back to bed. Aly slept til 8am, so I basically packed my laptop, breast pump, and made sure I was ready to go so when she woke up I could focus on getting her breakfast and dressed. Weeks leading up to thee morning, I had prepared her and reminded her that mommy is going to work so that she can earn milk money. She seemed okay with that. Drew didn't know that was mommy was going so he got his early morning nap in. I had minor pangs of guilt but pushed that feeling aside.
